Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr Software Engineer

This is a Contract to Hire opportunity and relocation candidates will not be considered at this time.

Senior Software Developer
As a Senior Software Developer, you'll shape the data backbone of our platform. With 8+ years of experience, you bring deep technical expertise and influence complex decisions. Your focus will be on data modeling, pipelines, APIs, and integrating analytical outputs into user interfaces and reports, while leveraging modern AI paradigms to build innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain scalable data models, ETL pipelines, and APIs in a cloud-native environment (AWS).
Modernize platforms using Java, REST, Spring, and microservices architecture.
Apply best practices for performance, reliability, and security across data workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet functional and quality requirements.
Own the full code lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce coding and design standards.
Troubleshoot complex distributed-system issues and implement robust scalable solutions.

Qualifications

7+ years in software development with full lifecycle ownership.
Deep understanding of software design and architecture patterns.
Strong proficiency in Java, REST, Spring, and microservices.
Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, AWS, and IaaS tools
Experience building ETL pipelines using Java/Spring or Python
