1. Establishes the Authoritative "Intent for Every Title
Title Intent captures the business's official view of a title's strategy scope, release approach, platform intent, branding plans, and readiness.
Updates to intent options and strategy metadata are continuously managed in CPT to keep the ecosystem aligned (e.g., revised DTC Title Intent picklists and branding plan updates). This ensures all downstream teams (localization, marketing, programming, operations) work from consistent, current information.
2. Powers Enterprise Wide Content Planning & Forecasting
Through CAP, the space enables financial and strategic teams to model release strategies, understand impact to slates, and align around forecasting.
Key capabilities include:
Scenario Planning that models changes in release strategies and metadata and calculates the financial impact.
Amortization modeling and allocation used by finance to forecast title level P&L outcomes.
Bulk title import and data alignment, centralizing all planning data in one ecosystem.
This creates a single, unified environment for slate level planning across studios, networks, DTC, and finance.
3. Provides Operational Readiness & Milestone Visibility
Title Planning ensures all teams can track a title's progress from registration through final delivery by centralizing milestone and operational signals:
Integrations with VPS, TBT, and HIRO provide automated tracking of mastering, avails, metadata, and localization related milestones.
Sports Milestone Insights expands readiness visibility for content.
This reduces manual reconciliation, enables faster troubleshooting, and improves predictability of global launches.
4. Automates Key Supply Chain Workflows
The area leads automation efforts that connect planning intent with operational systems:
Localization Order Automation, allowing Title Managers to trigger DTC localization orders directly from HIRO, eliminating manual processes in DOT.
Order update APIs, payload improvements, and sequencing logic that keep title plans synchronized with downstream systems.
These workflows drive consistency, quality, and speed at global scale.
5. Maintains Enterprise Metadata Quality Across the Title Lifecycle
Title Planning & Intent maintains the accuracy of foundational title metadata that drives distribution, marketing, finance, and rights workflows.
Ongoing enhancements include:
Streamlined registration, improved TRM field visibility, and parent/child title rollups in CPT.
Schema alignment for financial and operational systems through new run window objects, allocation models, and episode cadence metadata.
This ensures the entire enterprise works from a single, consistent representation of every title.
6. Provides Cross Portfolio Coordination & Governance
The space acts as the coordination layer across multiple product and engineering squads CPT, CAP, Title Plan, HIRO, and integrations with Rightsline, Xavier, FDA, and more.
Its meetings function as a "Scrum of Scrums for the entire Planning ecosystem, ensuring aligned priorities, data integrity, and operational continuity. This governance keeps dozens of systems and workflows synchronized.
