Role OverviewUnder the direction of the Manager of R&D, the Engineering Intern will primarily support Maintenance of Business (MOB) projects, with potential involvement in New Product Development (NPD) initiatives. This role emphasizes executing Design History File (DHF) requirements, creating product development documentation, and verifying design and product requirements through testing.
The intern will gain hands-on experience with the Change Development Process (CDP) and collaborate across multiple functions including Research & Development, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Planning/Logistics, Packaging/Labeling, and external partners.
Key Duties & Responsibilities- Support MOB projects with potential exposure to NPD activities
- Execute all requirements of the Design History File (DHF)
- Create and compile product development documentation, including protocols and reports
- Participate in the Change Development Process (CDP) for products and projects
- Assist with medical device design control activities
- Perform mechanical testing under guidance
- Collaborate with local and remote cross-functional teams
Internship Projects & DeliverablesDuring the summer internship, the intern will be accountable for:
- Compiling technical documentation such as protocols and test reports
- Contributing to R&D change development activities
- Supporting design control activities for medical devices
- Assisting with mechanical and laboratory testing

Education Requirements- Currently enrolled in an Engineering program
- Minimum of two years of college coursework completed
