Senior Report Developer Power BI

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Report Developer with strong expertise in Power BI and enterprise reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of reporting/BI experience and strong hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, data modeling, SQL, and Power BI Service.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
Gather business requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
Develop and optimize DAX, Power Query transformations, and Power BI data models.
Maintain and enhance reports using SSRS, Crystal Reports, Tableau, Cognos, or QlikView.
Develop and maintain KPIs, metrics, and executive dashboards.
Ensure data accuracy, security, and report performance.
Manage Power BI deployment, workspaces, scheduling, permissions, and security.
Troubleshoot reporting, data refresh, and performance issues.
Work with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
Document report specifications, data sources, and technical designs.
Mentor junior developers and promote BI best practices.

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in report development / Business Intelligence.
5+ years of hands-on Power BI experience REQUIRED.
Strong experience with DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and Power BI Service.
5+ years of experience with other BI/reporting tools, such as SSRS, Crystal Reports, Tableau, Cognos, or QlikView.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
Understanding of data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes.
Experience with report and query performance tuning.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Power BI / PL-300 certification.
Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse.
Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
