Security Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client in Manhattan Beach, CA is currently seeking a Security Architect for a permanent onsite role.

Summary:
The Security Architect will serve as a technical leader responsible for driving security-by-design principles across enterprise technology environments. This role partners closely with infrastructure, cloud, application, and business teams to establish security standards, develop architecture roadmaps, and ensure secure implementation of technologies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
* Define and maintain the enterprise Security Architecture operating model
* Develop security roadmaps aligned with business priorities, technology strategy, and evolving threats
* Establish and govern security standards, reference architectures, and design patterns
* Partner with technology teams to embed security into system design, architecture reviews, and technology selection
* Provide guidance across cloud, infrastructure, application, data protection, and identity security domains
* Evaluate new technologies and architectures for security risks and compliance requirements
* Support security initiatives involving AI, machine learning, automation, and emerging technologies
* Ensure security architecture aligns with regulatory and compliance frameworks including PCI, SOX, GDPR, and CCPA
* Provide thought leadership and architectural oversight for security tools and platforms

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of experience across information security, infrastructure, networking, systems engineering, cloud, or software engineering
* Strong enterprise security architecture experience
* Experience developing security standards, governance frameworks, and architectural documentation
* Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, SIEM, endpoint security, and log management technologies
* Experience leveraging automation and AI to improve security processes
* Expertise in one or more cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
* Knowledge of application architecture, SDLC, infrastructure, networking, data protection, and identity & access management
* Strong understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS security models
* Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and securing emerging technology environments
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
* Ability to assess security risks and provide practical, business-focused solutions

Preferred Qualifications:
* GIAC, CISSP, or other relevant security certifications
* Experience supporting compliance and regulatory initiatives
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
