AWS Cloud Security Engineer - Hybrid

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of an AWS Cloud Security Engineer. This role will work on a hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
* AWS Cloud Security Engineer will design, implement, and enhance cloud security controls across AWS environments
* Monitor, investigate, and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents
* Conduct security assessments and recommend risk mitigation strategies
* Partner with infrastructure, application, and engineering teams to integrate security best practices
* Develop and maintain cloud security standards, policies, and architecture
* As a AWS Cloud Security Engineer, you will support the security of AI/ML-related platforms, data pipelines, and deployment environments
* Lead security-focused projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field
* 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or security engineering
* 3+ years of hands-on AWS security experience
* Experience with AI/ML technology required
* Experience with incident response, threat detection, risk assessments, and vulnerability management
* Strong knowledge of IAM, CloudTrail, Security Hub, GuardDuty, KMS, VPC, and related AWS services
* Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
* AWS Security certification required; Additional security certifications are a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
