Role Overview
This is a strategic, highstakes Hands-on Sr. Data Analyst & Product Owner role supporting a core Enterprise Data Engineering organization. The ideal consultant will operate as the bridge between C and VPlevel business stakeholders and technical data engineering teams, shaping data product strategy, defining business requirements, and driving the roadmap for enterprisewide data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary data domain analyst for Sales, Marketing, and related business units, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide datadriven decision making.
- Partner closely with Data Engineering, BI Engineering, and Business teams to drive:
- Analytics requirement gathering
- Business process review
- Data product solution design
- UAT/testing
- Documentation and training
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for EDW, MDM, and BI teams.
- Define and maintain the data product roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy.
- Analyze business metrics, identify automation opportunities, and recommend process improvements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in a simplified manner for nontechnical reporting and business users.
Required Experience & Competencies
- 13+ years of experience in business process analysis, data analysis, or product ownership within enterprise data environments.
- Strong background in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) systems and/or Master Data Management (MDM).
- Expertlevel SQL with handson experience writing complex, advanced queries.
- Experience with Cloud Data Platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc.).
- Proven ability to work directly with Csuite and VPlevel stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving alignment.
- Demonstrated experience mapping business processes to EDW structures and data models.
- Strong understanding of business metrics, KPIs, and visualization/reporting needs.
- Exceptional communication skills able to translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.
- Highly proactive, selfdriven, and comfortable operating in a fastpaced, ambiguous environment.
