Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP BTP & Ariba SBN Extension Developer to support the migration of Collins Aerospace supplier portals. This role focuses on refactoring residual custom functionality (approximately 20% of the portal scope) currently built on .NET and Liferay platforms into modern, cloud-native extensions using SAP BTP. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on SAP BTP development expertise along with working knowledge of Ariba Supplier Business Network (SBN). You will collaborate closely with the CRE/SCC Lead to ensure seamless integration and a unified supplier experience across Ariba and BTP platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing custom .NET and Liferay portal features to identify functionality gaps not covered by standard Ariba CRE/SCC capabilities
• Design and develop SAP BTP extensions and side-by-side applications to replicate or modernize legacy portal features
• Build and manage integrations between SAP BTP and Ariba SBN using SAP Integration Suite (CPI / API Management)
• Develop unified supplier experiences leveraging SAP Build Work Zone or equivalent BTP portal services
• Implement security architecture including RBAC, IAS (Identity Authentication Service), and IPS (Identity Provisioning Service)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration contracts, shared data models, and event-driven workflows
• Prepare technical documentation including design specs, APIs, and developer runbooks
• Support SIT and UAT phases ensuring traceability to legacy requirements
• Assist in legacy portal decommissioning ensuring functional equivalence and data migration
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and ensure maintainability of developed solutions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise application development experience
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP / SAP Cloud Platform
• Strong expertise in SAP BTP Application Development (CAP, SAP Build Apps, or similar frameworks)
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI) for APIs, iFlows, and event-based integrations
• Working knowledge of SAP Ariba SBN (cXML, APIs, supplier transactions)
• Experience in migrating or modernizing .NET / Java EE / Liferay-based applications
• Proficiency in modern frontend technologies (React, Angular, or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP security services (IAS, XSUAA, Destination Service)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices in BTP
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building extensions for Ariba Guided Buying or Ariba SBN portals
• Exposure to SAP Build Work Zone (SAP Launchpad Service)
• Familiarity with Collins Aerospace / RTX architecture standards
• SAP BTP Certification (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate SAP BTP)
• Experience with SAP Event Mesh / Event Broker for event-driven architecture
