Description
The SAP Consultant I serves as a subject matter expert supporting business and manufacturing processes through SAP solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and service providers to analyze requirements, configure SAP systems, and improve operational efficiency across industrial environments.
1. SAP Functional / Technical Fundamentals
? Understands core SAP concepts for the module
? Explains end-to-end manufacturing business processes (not just T-codes)
? Strong grasp of key master data objects
? Can explain data flow and dependencies
? Knows common SAP tables relevant to the module
2. Module-Specific Depth (check all demonstrated)
? Configuration knowledge (when & why, not memorized steps)
? Transactional flow & controls
? Organizational structure handling (plants, storage locations, company codes, etc.)
? Integration points with other SAP modules and MES/L2 systems
? Clear understanding of S/4HANA vs ECC differences (if applicable)Module(s): ? PP ? MM ? PM ? EWM ? FICO ? BASIS ? ABAP ? Other: ___________
3. Troubleshooting & Incident Handling (Critical)
? Uses structured, logical problem-solving approach
? Identifies likely root causes before jumping to fixes

? Can explain typical production issues and resolutions
? Comfortable supporting live production environments

Serve as a subject matter expert working with business processes peers solving problems, and advising on various business-related issues
Analyze, gather requirements, design business processes, define functional specifications, and configure solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Analyze, evaluate, design, and configure new computer software and systems
Configure, develop, and implement SAP systems, and smoothly integrate SAP applications with existing IT business solutions
Provide SAP system support, end-user training, and document SAP processes
Participate in projects as an SAP expert
Keep abreast of the latest SAP offerings, updates, and developments
Work with Digital IT service providers to provide support to users, to deliver applications enhancements and on project activities

Technical Expertise - Understand all IT functions, cloud technologies, and services in use, and become familiar with the current direction in the infrastructure market

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $75.00/hr.
