MINIMUM QUALIFICATONS
Associates Degree. Three years of experience in the repair, troubleshooting, testing, installation and maintenance of voice, data, and wireless communication equipment is required. A high school ddiploma or GED along with additional experience in th repair, troubleshooting, testing, installation and maintenance of voice, data, and wireless communication equipment may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Must possess a valid driver''s license.

Miami-Dade County''s Communications, Information & Technology Department (CITD) is recruiting a full-time IT Telecommuncations Technician to support the Radio Shop within the Radio Communication Services Division. The Telecommunications Technician position is critical to supporting County radio operations and business functions. The primary focus of this role is to repair, maintain, and test radio subscriber equipment utilized within the County wide P25 public safety radio system. This position involves the use of specialized test equipment commonly utilized in the radio electronics field and requires the ability to read and interpret schematics, electronic diagrams, and blueprints as part of the diagnostic and repoair process.
The standard work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
