Job Summary

We are seeking a BI Engineer with strong expertise in Tableau development, SQL, and enterprise analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, support analytics platforms, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable reporting solutions in regulated environments.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize enterprise Tableau dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
  • Build complex Tableau visualizations using calculated fields, LOD expressions, table calculations, and set actions.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Manage Tableau Server/Tableau Cloud environments, including user permissions, extract schedules, subscriptions, and site administration.
  • Apply data modeling principles, including star and snowflake schemas, to support enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver analytics solutions.
  • Support analytics platform operations, enhancements, and modernization initiatives.
  • Manage BI requests, priorities, and delivery tracking using ITSM processes such as ServiceNow.
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards are followed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or related quantitative field.
  • 6–12 years of experience in enterprise Tableau development.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience in IBM DB2 and/or SQL Server.
  • Strong experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud administration.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, enterprise data warehouses, and analytics architecture.
  • Experience gathering requirements, managing stakeholders, and delivering BI solutions.
  • Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Tableau Certified Data Analyst, Tableau Certified Architect, or Tableau Server Administrator certification.
  • Healthcare analytics experience supporting clinical quality, population health, health plan, or delivery system domains.
  • Experience with AWS analytics platforms including Redshift, S3 data lakes, and AWS Glue.
  • Familiarity with BusinessObjects, SAS, or IBM DataStage.
  • Experience with BI platform modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
  • Knowledge of self-service analytics, data literacy programs, and enterprise reporting frameworks.
  • Understanding of healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
