Python-focused software developer to design, build, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications on AWS. You'll work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions, from application code through CI/CD and production monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, reliable Python backend services and APIs on AWS.
- Build and manage applications using core AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS/DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
- Provision infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK) and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and release.
- Monitor and tune application performance, availability, and cost using CloudWatch and related tools.
- Apply security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and VPC controls.
- Collaborate with product, DevOps, and engineering teams, and document solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with about 3–6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong Python development skills, including building backend services and APIs.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications on AWS.
- Familiarity with Docker and ECS/EKS, plus serverless patterns using Lambda.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, testing, and monitoring practices.
Nice to Have:
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate or Solutions Architect certification.
