Job title : SAP Vertex Consultant with expertise in Vertex O Series (V4)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Vertex Consultant with expertise in Vertex O Series (V4) to support tax integration, configuration, and compliance within SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP FI/SD/MM modules along with Vertex tax engine implementation and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and implement Vertex O Series (V4) solutions integrated with SAP
Collaborate with business and functional teams to gather tax requirements
Configure indirect tax processes including sales/use tax, VAT, and GST
Integrate Vertex with SAP modules such as:
SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)
SAP FI (Finance)
SAP MM (Materials Management)
Support end-to-end tax calculation flow between SAP and Vertex
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support
Troubleshoot and resolve tax calculation and integration issues
Ensure compliance with regional and global tax regulations
Work on enhancements, upgrades, and production support

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in SAP functional/technical roles
2+ years of hands-on experience with Vertex O Series (V4)
Strong understanding of:
Tax configurations (Sales Tax, VAT, GST)
SAP integration with external tax engines

Experience with:

RFC / IDoc / Web services integration
SAP pricing procedures and tax determination
Knowledge of tax jurisdiction rules and compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Vertex Cloud / Vertex Accelerator
Exposure to S/4HANA implementations
Knowledge of ABAP debugging (nice to have)
Experience in US or global tax regulations

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and stakeholder management
Ability to work in cross-functional teams
Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
Nice to Have
Experience in multiple tax regions (US, EU, APAC)
Prior experience in large-scale SAP transformation projects
