Summary

We are seeking a Senior ETL QA Tester with strong expertise in data warehouse testing, backend validation, and Agile delivery environments. The ideal candidate will have experience validating complex ETL workflows, performing data reconciliation, and supporting cloud-based enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to ensure complete test coverage.
Develop detailed test strategies, test plans, and test cases for ETL and data warehouse applications.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing across backend and data systems.
Validate ETL processes, data transformations, mappings, and data quality rules.
Execute SQL queries to verify data accuracy, reconciliation, and integrity (Oracle preferred).
Perform API testing and SOA/Web Services validation.
Track, document, and manage defects using JIRA, HP ALM, Rally, or similar tools.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and Scrum teams in Agile/Sprint environments.
Support troubleshooting by analyzing logs and validating defect fixes.
Contribute to automation frameworks using BDD/ATDD approaches and Gherkin scenarios.
Participate in CI/CD pipeline validation and post-release production verification.
Mentor junior QA analysts and promote QA best practices.

Required Skills

Strong experience in ETL/Data Warehouse testing.
Hands-on experience with SQL (Oracle) for backend data validation.
Experience in functional, integration, SOA/Web Services testing.
Knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
Experience working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Familiarity with test automation frameworks and BDD tools.
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in cloud-based environments.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Anaplan testing and model validation.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of Java backend testing.
Experience with data migration and reconciliation testing.
