Role: Network Administrator
Location: New York, NY or Greenwich, CT (3 days a week onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months
Must have:
- Network
- Cisco ISE
- Aruba Wireless
- Network Engineer consultant with strong hands-on routing experience, particularly with BGP.
Position Overview:
The Network Administrator will manage enterprise network infrastructure to ensure stable and secure operation of data networks and services. This role involves deploying, maintaining, operating, and optimizing enterprise network services while collaborating closely with a team of network administrators.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Cisco ISE and Aruba Wireless technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Install and deploy network architecture supporting LAN, WAN, and Azure-based data networks
- Configure and deploy network hardware and third-party cloud connectivity solutions
- Troubleshoot complex network performance issues and analyze packet captures and logs
- Collaborate with solution providers to design enterprise network topology, routing, and service levels
- Implement alerting and response runbooks across network platforms
- Follow Incident, Problem Management, and Change Advisory Board (CAB) protocols
- Perform capacity planning and support disaster recovery planning activities
- Support implementation teams with network architecture for new initiatives
- Coordinate installation of network hardware and software across the enterprise
- Research and recommend network products, services, and standards
- Participate in lifecycle management including upgrades and hardware refreshes
- Install and manage security infrastructure such as firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems
- Plan, design, and deploy Wireless LAN (WLAN) solutions
- Interact and negotiate with vendors and service providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation
Requirements:
- 2 4 years of experience with:
o Palo Alto Firewalls
o Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches
o Cisco Unified Wireless (ISE, Prime Infrastructure)
o F5 BIG-IP (multiple modules)
- Experience with Public Cloud environments:
o Azure
o AWS
o Microsoft Operating Systems
o Linux Operating Systems
- Knowledge of automation platforms such as:
o Ansible
o Nornir
o Python
o Terraform
o Go
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with data center environments or providers
- Ability to support off-hours, weekends, travel, and 24/7 on-call rotation
In compliance with the salary transparency law, the expected pay range for this role is $55. Actual compensation depends on experience and interview evaluation.
