For this contractor assignment, looking for a resource to Lead SharePoint Online governance, architecture, and administration by establishing standards, policies, and lifecycle practices while managing site collections, permissions, security, and compliance across the environment. Designs and delivers modern SharePoint solutions, including end-to-end site builds, reusable templates, custom SPFx development, automation with PnP PowerShell and CLI, and business process enhancements through Power Automate and Power Apps. Drives enterprise information architecture, platform health, and user enablement by developing taxonomy and metadata strategies, leading site reviews, cleanup, migration, and decommissioning efforts, translating business requirements into scalable solutions, and providing reporting, dashboards, and knowledge management support.

responsibilities:

Governance, Architecture & Administration


- Establishes and maintains SharePoint governance standards, policies, naming conventions, ownership expectations, and lifecycle policies; leads governance reviews for ongoing compliance.


- Leads administration of SharePoint Online, hub sites, site collections, and Teams-connected sites, including permissions strategies and security governance.


- Designs and maintains modern SharePoint architecture, site templates, provisioning standards, and reusable components.


Site Build & Custom Development


- Leads end-to-end site builds from intake through launch, including navigation, page layouts, branding, and information architecture.


- Develops custom SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web parts/extensions and writes PnP PowerShell/CLI scripts to automate provisioning, configuration, and migration.


- Designs and implements Power Automate workflows and Power Apps forms to extend site functionality.


Information Architecture, Estate Management & BSA


- Designs enterprise taxonomy, metadata structures, and content lifecycle processes; partners with site owners on content quality.


- Maintains inventory/health of the SharePoint environment and leads large-scale site review, cleanup, decommissioning, and migration initiatives.


- Gathers and documents business requirements, translating business needs into scalable platform solutions.


Analytics, Knowledge Management & User Enablement


- Develops adoption, usage, governance, and performance reporting; produces dashboards for operational and strategic decisions.


- Supports knowledge-management initiatives through governance, taxonomy, and reusable templates/standards.


- Acts as SharePoint subject matter expert; delivers training and consultation to site owners, and mentors internal resources.




qualifications:

- A minimum of 6 years of front-end development or related work experience.


- {OR} Associate's degree or higher and a minimum of 5 years of front-end development or related work experience.


- {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of 3 years of front-end development or related work experience.
