Senior Project Manager – Clinical / Patient Care Software

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead key workstreams for the PATH (Patient’s Acute Technology for Hospital Services) program.

PATH is a strategic clinical technology initiative focused on developing an application that standardizes nurse documentation and supports the complete hospital dialysis patient workflow. The application is designed to capture treatment information digitally, support offline functionality, and integrate with clinical research and billing systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing software, healthcare IT, clinical application, or patient-care technology projects and be comfortable coordinating complex cross-functional dependencies, schedules, risks, resources, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, tracking, and delivery of PATH program workstreams.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
• Define and communicate project scope, timelines, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and priorities.
• Coordinate dependencies across clinical workflows, patient-care systems, billing integrations, offline capabilities, and other technology workstreams.
• Provide day-to-day direction and oversight to cross-functional project teams.
• Track project tasks through completion and proactively remove or escalate blockers.
• Monitor progress against project goals and adjust schedules, priorities, or resources when necessary.
• Manage project budgets, expenses, and resource utilization.
• Establish and execute quality assurance and project governance processes.
• Coordinate with business, clinical, technical, and leadership stakeholders.
• Provide clear project status reporting covering scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, resources, and key metrics.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Identify, resolve, and escalate functional, quality, resource, and timeline issues.
• Ensure project outcomes remain aligned with clinical, customer, and organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of Project Management experience.
• Experience managing software development, clinical applications, healthcare IT, patient-care technology, or other complex technology projects preferred.
• Strong experience creating and managing project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resources.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project (MS Project).
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and cross-functional dependencies.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Ability to proactively identify risks, resolve blockers, and drive projects to completion.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• Experience delivering clinical applications or patient-care software.
• Healthcare, hospital, dialysis, clinical documentation, or healthcare technology experience.
• Experience managing software integrations involving clinical, billing, or research systems.
• Experience working with distributed technical and business teams.
