Summary

Job Description

The Sr. IT Systems Analyst will play a critical part in advancing Architecture strategic priorities by driving awareness and adoption of the North Star architecture and associated standards, patterns, and assurance processes across the enterprise.

The individual will focus on translating the North Star architecture into clear, consumable, and actionable guidance to drive adoption across the organization.

This role will lead the development of a customer-facing mechanism to publish and distribute architecture content across multiple audiences across the organization, as well as events, brown-bag sessions, and connecting with customers who need education about how to work within the architecture boundaries.

Key Focus Areas
Develop and execute a communications and change management plan to drive adoption of the North Star architecture and associated standards, patterns, and assurance processes
Translate North Star architecture, standards, and assurance processes into clear, business-friendly, and actionable content tailored to engineering, product, and leadership audiences. Experience in Word Press, email communications and Newsletter development preferred.
Lead development of a business-facing mechanism to publish and distribute architecture content across the organization
Design and deliver architecture content that is accessible, discoverable, and tailored to audience needs to drive usability and adoption
Partner with Architecture, TPRM, OIS, and delivery teams to drive adoption of standards, patterns, and assurance processes within workflows
Develop and apply approaches to measure and improve adoption of architecture guidance
Lead cross-functional sessions to drive alignment, understanding, and adoption of architecture practices

Assists with and participates in leadership, coordination and management of activities required to operate, direct or advise a Mayo department or equivalent organizational structure. Coordinates project, division and/or department budgets and provides appropriate financial reports and metrics for making department decisions. Independently manages multiple large-scale internal business projects or single department-scale projects from inception to close, including resource management, risk identification and mitigation, quality assurance and change control. Must have broad knowledge of IT systems and interrelated technical processes in order to make necessary decisions regarding hardware, software or technology agreements. May serve as subject matter expert for requirements gathering for industry proposals on behalf of Mayo Clinic. Routinely interfaces with department committees and executive leadership and provides performance reports with strategic recommendations. May serve as liaison for industry partnerships or as a representative for Mayo Clinic in national industry events. Ensures communication between and among business proponents, stakeholders and Leadership regarding assignments. Leads or contributes to the improvement of established guidelines, tools, templates and methodologies. Demonstrates effective group facilitation, team building and conflict resolution skills. Develops proposals and business plans that ensure quality IT solutions and delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5 years technology or business administration experience, OR Associates degree with 7 years technology or business administration experience.

Other qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management or related field preferred. Excellent communication, organization, problem solving and facilitation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including conflict resolution. Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel and administrative processes. Strong understanding of financial concepts, business process, continuous improvement and organizational development. Demonstrated mastery of all requirements detailed in the Systems Analyst job description. Experience working in healthcare technology.
Experience with committee and consensus driven organizations.
Experience in finance and project management.
