- What is the purpose of this team?
- What is driving this need? (ex. Backfill for FTE or CW, new project, business growth)
- Describe the surrounding team (team culture, work environment, etc.) & key projects.
- Do you have any additional upcoming hiring needs or is this request part of a larger hiring initiative? - Support Service Fund (VBC) application; The team works on expanding Service Fund to bring in new sources, expand functionality, and support the existing application
- This is to backfill another contractor who left
- Other current team members are 2 FTEs and 2 contractors; highly collaborative; deals with financial data across many domains; steep learning curve
- No other hiring needs at this time
Typical Day in the Role
- Walk me through the day-to-day responsibilities and a description of the project (Outside of the Workday JD).
- What are the performance expectations/metrics?
- What makes this role unique? - Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipelines are accurate and efficient.
- Extract, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple sources (e.g., Snowflake, SQL databases, APIs, cloud platforms, external files).
- Maintain data integrity and ensure consistency across reporting systems.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, and anomalies.
- Create/update Snowflake objects utilizing stored procedures, tasks, ad-hoc scripts
- The team will work on expanding the Snowflake Service Fund application to bring in new sources, expand functionality, and support the existing application.
