SAP BDC Developer/Architect
Note: SAP BDC is a newer tool, hence experience with SAP Datasphere and SAP SAC will be considered. However, any exposure SAP Databricks (training/certification is acceptable)
Joining Location- Initial remote but the resource should be ready to relocate to IBM Baton Rouge within one month upton asked to relocate.
Travel- As per demand from project and aligning with C2H guidelines.
Project working experience: Overall 10 years in SAP Reporting and Analytics Tools
The candidate must possess:
- SAP Datasphere: working experience in at 1 to 2 full life cycles
- SAP BW: Should have worked in multiple (3 to 4) SAP BW projects
- Must have at least 2 to 3 project experiences working in SAP SAC
- Must have at least 3 to 4 project experiences in SAP S4 Embedded Analytics Development with SAP Fiori
- Preferably must have strong SQL knowledge
- Coordinate with offshore on project deliverables and QA offshore work
Tools and Skills:
SAP Datasphere:
Modelling : A thorough understanding of data modelling - Master Data, Transactional Data, Facts, Analytical Models
Hands on experiences building - Dimensions - texts, attributes & hierarchies in SAP Datasphere, fact models, analytical data models
Data Ingestion : A thorough understanding of how to perform data extraction from SAP S4 HANA to SAP datasphere using remote tables, local tables, views, replication flows, add projections, build pipelines & task chains
Advanced modelling skills: Add projections, hands python script development, filters, aggregation, creating measures - restricted, calculated measures, building exception aggregation, counts, variables and build analytical models
SAP SAC:
- Story creation and consuming data models (Analytical) from SAP Datasphere and SAP S4
- A thorough understanding of Live connection Vs Acquired data connections to SAP SAC
- Building widgets, charts, filters (story level and widget level)
- Build advanced features such as Geo Maps, Input controls
SAP BW:
- Expert level understanding of SAP BW data modelling concepts such as master data joins, transactional data models, KPIs & aggregation (with exception aggregation)
- Expert level understanding of data extraction mechanism, delta mechanism, monitoring of data loads
- Performance fine tuning
- Front-end tool integration and KPI creation - Front end Vs Backend
SQL (Preferable):
- A thorough understanding of the various types of joins (& why they are used)
- Aggregation methods (KPI creation)
- A thorough understanding of cardinality, foreign keys, performance fine tuning
SAP S4 Embedded Analytics & SAP Fiori:
- A thorough understanding of SAP S4 ABAP CDS views - Basic, composite and consumption layers
- Hands on working and build experience in SAP ABAP CDS views and integration with SAP Fiori
- Build SAP Fiori Tiles, Smart KPIs, and different types of Fiori tiles (Analytical only)
