Summary

Job Title: Automation Network Engineer (DDI)

Location: Westlake, TX

Duration: Contract

Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 8 AM 5 PM EST (flexibility required for evenings/weekends or 4x10 schedule)

Interview Process: In-person interview required at one of the client locations

Overview

We are looking for a skilled Automation Network Engineer (DDI) to design, implement, and support enterprise DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) infrastructure across hybrid environments. This role will focus heavily on automation, helping scale and optimize network services using modern tools and practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, manage, and support DDI infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments
Develop and deploy automation solutions for DDI platforms
Troubleshoot and enhance existing automation frameworks
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for network automation within the team
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability (24x7 support model)
Participate in on-call rotation for critical issue resolution
Consult with business stakeholders on best practices and technical solutions
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in network services

Required Skills & Experience

Strong automation experience using Python and Ansible Tower
2 4+ years of network engineering experience
Hands-on experience with Infoblox or other DDI platforms (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
Experience building, deploying, and troubleshooting automation solutions
Experience working in hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
Strong understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals
Proven troubleshooting skills in network and cloud environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Linux and scripting
Familiarity with cloud networking troubleshooting
Knowledge of enterprise security policies and best practices
Experience with Agile methodologies
Exposure to ServiceNow (SNOW) development (plus)
Network certifications (nice to have)

Soft Skills

Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to mentor and guide team members in automation practices
Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving abilities
Proactive mindset with a desire to learn and grow (DDI and load balancing)
