Job Title: SAP SD/MM Functional Consultant (S/4HANA)
Location: Hybrid (2–3 days/week onsite) – Ann Arbor, MI or Milpitas, CA
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description

Client is seeking an experienced SAP SD/MM Functional Consultant with strong hands-on configuration experience in SAP S/4HANA. This role will support multiple small-scale initiatives involving SD/MM enhancements, integrations, analytics, and business process improvements. The ideal candidate should be business-facing, capable of independently driving functional activities, and possess deep expertise across both Sales & Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM).

Required Skills

SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)

10+ years of SAP SD functional experience
Hands-on configuration in Order-to-Cash (OTC)
Sales Order Processing
Delivery Processing
Billing & Intercompany Invoicing
Pricing knowledge (preferred)

SAP MM (Materials Management)

Hands-on configuration in Procurement processes
Purchase Requisitions (PR)
Purchase Orders (PO)
Info Records
Source Lists
Strong understanding of Procurement lifecycle

SAP S/4HANA

Hands-on SAP S/4HANA implementation/configuration experience
Knowledge of S/4HANA data model changes
Experience with SAP Fiori applications

Integration Experience

SD-MM integration
Stock Transport Orders (STO)
Intercompany processes
Master Data dependencies
EDI/B2B integrations
CRM to SD integration (preferred)
Functional specifications for interfaces

Analytics

Experience gathering requirements for Analytics/Reporting projects
Functional support for SAP and non-SAP reporting solutions
Ability to prepare Functional Specifications for reporting solutions

Responsibilities

Configure SAP SD/MM solutions
Gather business requirements and conduct Fit-Gap Analysis
Lead workshops with business stakeholders
Prepare Functional Specifications
Coordinate testing (Unit, SIT, UAT)
Support integrations with CRM, EDI, and third-party systems
Troubleshoot production and project-related functional issues
Collaborate with technical and business teams
Manage multiple concurrent enhancement projects independently

Required Experience

10–15 years of SAP SD/MM Functional experience
5–7+ years of recent U.S. project experience
Strong hands-on SAP configuration background
Experience in multiple enhancement/support projects (not just large implementations)
Excellent client-facing and communication skills
Willing to work onsite 2–3 days/week in Ann Arbor, MI or Milpitas, CA
