Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer with 12+ years of IT experience and strong expertise in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms on AWS.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of IT experience with 7+ years in Data Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, Athena, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Expertise in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT development, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, and big data technologies.
  • Experience with AWS Glue, Redshift, and Athena for data processing and analytics.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • Experience with data governance, security, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of batch and real-time data processing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on AWS.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows and data integration solutions.
  • Develop data models and support enterprise data warehousing initiatives.
  • Ensure data quality, security, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and production issues.
  • Implement best practices for data engineering, automation, and cloud optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or Kafka.
  • AWS Certifications such as AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
