Job Description
TxDOT work to be accomplished
· Use multiple tools and data sources in the financial analysis and forecasting of TxDOT’s IT Project Portfolio.
· Review project demands and resource allocation plans for managed service providers as well as internal TxDOT staff.
· Prepare funds transfers and monitor federal funding reimbursements for eligible IT purchases.
· Review IT purchase requests and monitor the daily activity related to operating and capital expenses.
· Participate in the monthly reconciliation of TxDOT’s IT budget, encumbrances, and expenses.
Minimum Yrs of Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
· 5+ Financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.
· 5+ Analyzing Financial Management Systems / Processes
· 5+ Budgeting methods and procedures
· 5+ Communicating and maintaining effective working relationships with others
· 5+ Preparing and maintaining confidential and sensitive records, files, and reports
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
· +5 years Microsoft Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
· Experience with PowerBI, Python, Tableau, Power Platform or other data analytics and data visualization tools.
· Experience with AI and Automation tools including Microsoft CoPilot, Google Gemini, Power Platform or similar solutions.
· Experience with IT resource and staff planning, including estimating workforce needs, aligning resources to projects and core IT functions.
