Business Analyst (Guidewire PolicyCenter)

Our client is looking for an Business Analyst (Guidewire PolicyCenter) for a project and below is the detailed requirement.

Job Title: Business Analyst (Guidewire PolicyCenter)

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience as a Business Analyst with hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation, upgrade, enhancement, or support projects.
• Strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain knowledge, particularly Commercial Lines products such as Commercial Auto, General Liability, Commercial Property, Workers’ Compensation, BOP, and Umbrella Liability.
• Good understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter, Product Model, Policy Lifecycle, Underwriting Rules, Rating Framework, Forms, Documents, and integration concepts.
• Strong understanding of insurance rating concepts, including premium calculations, Rate Books, Rating Variables, Coverages, Modifiers, Discounts, Surcharges, and Territory-Based Rating.
• Experience analyzing and validating rating algorithms, premium calculations, rating workflows, and product configuration requirements.
• Knowledge of Guidewire Rating Management or external rating engines is preferred.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases.
• Strong skills in BRD/FSD documentation, process mapping, workflow analysis, GAP analysis, impact assessments, and stakeholder management.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, test scenario validation, defect triage, root cause analysis, and production support.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demonstrations.
• Knowledge of APIs, web services, and integrations; experience with Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps is preferred.
• Guidewire PolicyCenter certification, Guidewire Cloud implementation experience, exposure to BillingCenter and ClaimCenter, and insurance certifications such as CPCU or AINS are preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
