Overview: Every consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services offers to clients. As a Java Developer, you will join the Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable microservices using Java 11+ and Spring Boot
Build and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda and other AWS services such as EC2, CloudWatch, and S3
Integrate and optimize backend APIs with React-based front-end components
Contribute to codebase management, branching strategies, and pull requests using GitHub
Monitor application health and troubleshoot production issues using CloudWatch and other observability tools
Work closely with product managers, architects, and QA to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software on time
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Ensure best practices for security, performance, and maintainability in all code delivered
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Java backend development (Java 11 or newer)
Strong expertise in Spring Boot and RESTful API design
Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, and S3
Proficient in using GitHub for source control and collaboration
Familiarity with React and front-end/backend integration
Experience building serverless solutions and event-driven architectures
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $155,000 or the hourly equivalent.
