Job Title: QA Lead – Test Automation (Playwright)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead with strong Test Automation expertise to define and drive automation strategy, lead automation frameworks, and guide both automation and manual QA teams. This role requires hands-on expertise in Playwright (Java & JavaScript), CI/CD integration, and quality governance across complex enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the test automation strategy aligned with business and DevOps goals

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks across:

  • UI, API, Services, and Data layers

• Lead and mentor automation and manual QA teams

• Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)

• Convert manual test cases into automated tests and optimize automation coverage

• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing

• Analyze test failures, troubleshoot automation issues, and ensure reliable execution

• Manage defect lifecycle and collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams

• Build and maintain test data and test environments

• Prepare and present QA reports, dashboards, metrics, test coverage, and defect trends

• Ensure automation solutions meet business needs and industry best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Playwright automation using Java and JavaScript

• Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD integration

• Proficiency in JIRA for test management, defect tracking, and workflow coordination

• Experience designing automation frameworks usable by functional testers

• Solid understanding of functional requirements and optimized test scenario design

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills

• Exposure to Financial Services domain

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Trident

• Prior experience working with Discover

• Automation experience across Microservices, Containers, Browsers, Mobile, and Client-Server architectures
