The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Senior System Engineer in Melbourne, FL. This role involves developing and delivering high-performance RF hardware, firmware, and software products. The position will focus on creating innovative, practical, multi-function RF systems solutions that address emerging missions of national importance for customers across the Department of Defense.
The Senior System Engineer will support a diverse team of RF systems engineers and mission subject matter experts (SMEs) with backgrounds in electrical, mechanical, RF, hardware, software, firmware, and systems engineering. The role is embedded within a creative, innovative, and highly collaborative culture that delivers cutting-edge solutions for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Testing, fabrication, assembly, inspection, debugging, rework, modification, and evaluation of complex RF and digital circuit boards and assemblies for signals intelligence, radar, and communications prototype development systems
Instrumental role in system engineering and advanced research and development associated with these products during pre-delivery design, integration, and acceptance
Frequent communication with senior leadership through presentations, white papers, staff meetings, and daily correspondence
Investigate and resolve system problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
Provide feedback to the development team relating to operational functionality concerns
Periodic travel may be required to vendor and customer sites in support of product management
Ownership of engineering documents such as test procedures/plans, new product initiation, and other engineering documents associated with management of product life cycle.
Coordination with other engineering disciplines as needed in the support and maintenance of product lines

Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or another relevant field or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in a related engineering field
Experience characterizing and debugging RF PCB issues to optimize performance
Experience testing designs, and troubleshooting hardware problems
Experience with reading and writing schematics
Understanding of generating RF design, verification, test reports by working with RF and systems and integration teams to generate such reports
Experience with PCB layout and fabrication process
Experience working in production environment and product development
Experience with Configuration Management, Drafting, Test and Network engineering processes
Strong oral, written and presentation skills

Preferred:
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
Masters' degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or another relevant field
Experience with the development and integration of prototype and/or production RF mission systems
Experience with the development and integration of RF mission payloads into manned and/or unmanned airborne platforms

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
