Business Intelligence Analyst (BigQuery & Looker)

Business Intelligence Analyst Location: Raleigh Durham, NC (Primarily Onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support churn analytics and reporting initiatives within the G Fiber organization. This role is a hands-on, execution-focused position responsible for building scalable data solutions and migrating legacy reporting into the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using SQL
• Design, create, and manage structured tables in BigQuery
• Develop dashboards, reports, and Looker views aligned with business requirements
• Rebuild and migrate legacy reporting into Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery + Looker)
• Perform ad-hoc churn and customer behavior analysis
• Collaborate with BI and data teams to refine or source required datasets
• Work with granular, large-scale datasets (millions of rows, account-level data)

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

• Strong proficiency in SQL (Google SQL or similar dialects)
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery (table creation, querying large datasets)
• Proven experience with Looker, including:
• LookML
• Semantic layer
• Dashboard/report development
• Experience working with large, complex datasets
• Ability to analyze granular, timestamp-level data
• Demonstrated ability to build data solutions end-to-end (not just analysis)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in telecom, ISP, or subscription-based businesses
• Exposure to churn, retention, or customer lifecycle metrics
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices
• Experience supporting business decision-making through BI tools

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 3 8 years of experience (up to ~10 years if highly hands-on)
• Equivalent to mid-level (L4) strong executor, not overly senior
• Builder mindset: creates, owns, and delivers data assets
• Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
• Able to quickly adapt to evolving business requirements
