Role Overview
This position serves as a technical leader responsible for the development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the AVEVA PI System environment. The role requires applying advanced technical expertise to plan, execute, and coordinate complex projects. The specialist will act as the primary subject matter expert for PI-related systems, providing strategic direction and ensuring compliance with corporate and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, troubleshooting, and improvement of the AVEVA PI System, including ProcessBook, PI tags, graphics, and interfaces.
- Apply advanced technical expertise to plan, execute, and coordinate complex projects with significant business impact.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert and technical liaison for all PI-related systems.
- Direct major company programs and provide expertise in defining project scope and areas for technical investigation.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and develop innovative solutions for complex technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, and industry best practices.
- Provide strategic direction and mentor technical personnel on data collection, visualization, and system integration.
- Act as a technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization, representing the company in high-level discussions.
Required Qualifications
Education: An Associate degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Experience: A minimum of five years of experience with PI Systems is required. Demonstrated expertise with AVEVA PI System software, ProcessBook, PI Data Archive, Asset Framework (AF), interfaces, data integrations, and supporting hardware infrastructure is also necessary.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Aveva PI software (ProcessBook) and hardware is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
