Description: Systems Requirements and Acceptance Testing
Perform systems analysis, develop requirements documentation, and create and conduct customer acceptance tests for all components of the PTR system (more than 45 separate interfaces and components).
Analyze new business requirements or changes to existing requirements and generate test data for the following areas:
Retail and Commercial Mailer systems
PTR
Extra Services
Mailing Services
Confirm Services
Ground Shipping
Expedited Services
Scanners
Global Business
Business Mail Entry and Payment Technology
Operations and Engineering
Web (internet, intranet, Web Tools, Click-N-Ship)
Call Center / IVR
EDW and PTR Reports

Gather business needs documentation from business owners throughout the USPS organization.
Develop requirements documentation for each required change according to established standards provided by USPS.
Develop a customer acceptance test plan for each itemized requirement, including specifying detailed test data regarding input and expected output, according to established standards provided by USPS.
Analyze business and technical requirements and design solutions.
Review system test materials provided by USPS for tests conducted by the Information Technology group.
Conduct acceptance tests on USPS premises, using Intelligent Mail Device (IMD) scanners, Commercial Mailer Electronic Files, Commercial Mailer Extract files, Intranet tracking screens, Internet tracking screens, Product Tracking and Reporting System web applications, Program Registration system, Electronic Marketing Reporting System (EMRS), Expedited Service Specialist (ESS) web application, PTR reports, Call Center Agent screens or Integrated Voice Response (IVR) system, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), PostalOne!, POS ONE, and APCs, as appropriate.
Produce detailed documentation regarding test results according to standards provided by USPS.
Develop requirements development status reports and test schedules according to standards developed by USPS.
Analyze and document PTR business logic, including database and processing rules, and update documentation as new requirements are developed.
Initiate, develop, and maintain documentation for products and services connected to Confirmation and Extra Services.
Analyze current PTR processes and provide input regarding improvements and changes.
Perform ad-hoc research and analysis using USPS provided applications and tools.
Participate in and review database design and data modeling
Consulting Activities:
Performs consulting activities and provides technical assistance for the Mail and Package Information Systems group on the Product Tracking and Reporting System.
Perform expert level duties as the primary consultant for the Product Tracking and Reporting System.
Act as technical liaison between the Mail and Package Information Systems group and Information Technology.
Provide subject matter expertise to internal and external customers of the Product Tracking and Reporting System.
Provide subject matter expertise during peer review sessions to assist team members in strengthening business needs and requirements documents.
Provide subject matter expertise on customer files and extracts.
Provide advisory services as needed to the Manager and staff.
Supplier will provide deliverables to the Manager, Program Manager, or designee.
Advise and make relevant recommendations for proposed system changes submitted by internal customers that will more closely align them with business strategic goals.
Additional Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum of 13 years experience, in technology or software development preferred.
o A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.
o Typically performs all functional duties independently.
o Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis.
