Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced
Business Analyst to support a large-scale Construction Portfolio, Project, and Resource Management System implementation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups, and is motivated by complex, enterprise-level technology projects.
The Business Analyst will work closely with the Project Manager, vendor implementation team (as applicable), and internal business and technical stakeholders to ensure that all business, functional, technical, and performance requirements are identified, validated, documented, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle. This role will also support process mapping, requirements analysis, RFP development, testing readiness, and post-go-live validation.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Mapping & Use Case Definition- Develop as-is and to-be process maps for construction-related workflows.
- Define and document use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business needs into clear technical specifications, ensuring alignment with existing systems and infrastructure.
Stakeholder Coordination- Serve as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and project leadership.
- Facilitate stakeholder review sessions, requirement validation workshops, and feedback loops across all workstreams.
Requirements Elicitation & Analysis- Lead requirements-gathering sessions with subject matter experts.
- Conduct fit-gap analyses to evaluate solution alignment with program needs.
- Maintain requirement documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
RFP Development- Prepare a fully defined Request for Proposal (RFP), including detailed business and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to finalize the RFP package.
- Assist in drafting sections such as business context, scope, and desired outcomes.
- Develop vendor evaluation criteria to support the selection process.
Testing & Delivery Readiness- Support the definition of UAT test coverage and develop corresponding test scripts.
- Maintain traceability documents linking requirements to test cases and outcomes.
- Validate operational readiness for transition and support post-go-live verification.
Requirements Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology implementations.
- Experience with 3+ implementations of Project and Portfolio Management applications within the construction domain.
- Strong background facilitating complex requirements elicitation and maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) across planning, testing, and delivery.
- Proven ability to work across diverse stakeholder groups in fast-moving project environments.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Project and Portfolio Management implementations specifically supporting utility construction management.
- Prior experience supporting enterprise-level construction or capital project systems is highly beneficial.
