Sr AI Platform Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior AI Platform Developer (7–10 years experience) to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions in a production enterprise environment. This role requires deep technical expertise across machine learning, NLP, cloud platforms, and MLOps practices.

This is a hybrid position based in Herndon, VA, requiring onsite presence at least 4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models in production environments

• Build scalable AI platforms leveraging cloud and big data technologies

• Develop and optimize machine learning pipelines (training, validation, deployment)

• Implement NLP-based solutions using modern transformer architectures

• Perform data acquisition, cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into enterprise systems

• Implement MLOps best practices for model monitoring, versioning, and CI/CD

• Optimize performance of models using distributed computing platforms

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 7–10 years of experience in AI/ML development

• Proven experience building AI systems in production environments

Programming

• Strong expertise in Python (mandatory)

• Experience with R, Java, or C++ (preferred)

Machine Learning & Deep Learning

• Strong understanding of:

  • Supervised & Unsupervised Learning

  • Reinforcement Learning

  • CNNs, RNNs, and modern neural architectures

AI/ML Frameworks

• TensorFlow

• PyTorch

• Keras

• scikit-learn

NLP & Generative AI

• Experience with:

  • NLTK

  • spaCy

  • Hugging Face Transformers

• Strong understanding of transformer-based models and LLM integration

Data & Big Data

• Data preprocessing and feature engineering

• SQL and NoSQL databases

• Apache Spark

• OpenSearch

Cloud & MLOps

• AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform experience

• Model deployment and monitoring

• CI/CD pipelines for ML

• Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes preferred)

• Strong knowledge of:

Work Requirements
