. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, this role addresses critical integration deficits caused by disconnected vendor platforms and legacy software

The Specialist develops REST API connections, writes SQL data transformations, and builds automated workflows using an enterprise iPaaS platform


. This position requires a proactive problem-solver who can navigate transitional chaos, execute technical tasks, and demonstrate the potential to grow into a technical lead within the department

responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities


1. Enterprise Systems Integration & iPaaS Administration


  • Build, monitor, and troubleshoot automated data integrations connecting core enterprise systems, including Jenzabar (ERP), Canvas (LMS), Paycor (HCM), Element451 (CRM), EAB Navigate, and Microsoft 365.
  • Develop and maintain custom REST API connections, JSON payloads, and SQL query transformations using the QuickLaunch iPaaS platform.
  • Document integration architecture, data schemas, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies for CIO review and approval.
  • Collaborate with system owners across departments to resolve data sync failures and ensure automated data flows run accurately on schedule.
2. Automation & Scripting


  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks, user provisioning, and reporting across Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory / Entra ID, and on-premises environments.
  • Streamline manual IT administrative workflows to improve system reliability and data consistency.
3. Cloud & Infrastructure Support


  • Assist in migrating on-premises Active Directory objects and user identities to Microsoft Entra to resolve hybrid sync errors.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure and systems personnel on server maintenance, network configuration, and cloud resource management as needed.
4. Operational Standards & Governance


  • Adhere strictly to institutional ITIL/ITSM change management protocols within Freshservice prior to deploying or modifying integration pipelines.
  • Work within established separation-of-duties protocols, submitting firewall and access modification requests to Information Security Services (ISS).

qualifications:

Qualifications & Experience


Minimum Requirements:


Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise systems integration, software engineering, or database administration


.


Core Technical Skills:


Hands-on development experience with REST APIs, JSON, and SQL query writing


.


Demonstrated proficiency in PowerShell scripting for system administration and automation


.


Working knowledge of enterprise integration platforms (iPaaS)


.


Experience with cloud identity management (Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Entra ID)


.


Logistics: Residence within a 45-minute commuting distance of the campus location, and availability for a 2-3 day/week hybrid on-site schedule


.


Preferred Qualifications:


Direct experience with QuickLaunch iPaaS


.


Experience integrating higher education enterprise applications (Jenzabar, Canvas, Element451, EAB Navigate) or equivalent enterprise ERPs (e.g., Banner, Workday, Colleague, SAP)


.


Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate AZ-104)

Prior work experience within higher education or comparable mission-driven institutions
