Sr. DevOps Engineer

Could you be a good fit? We are looking for the best, highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join the team of our exceptional client located in the greater Boston area. This is a hybrid onsite role.

This position requires a mix of hands-on GitHub Enterprise administration, Python automation, DevOps tooling, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth execution across software teams and migration projects.

What will your day look like?
As a DevOps Engineer, you will:
Assist software teams in migrating repositories, users, and workflows into GitHub Enterprise Managed Users.
Administer GitHub Enterprise, including organization setup, Actions, Copilot, and enterprise-managed user administration.
Develop automation scripts in Python to run locally, in Docker containers, and in AWS Lambda.
Collaborate with software teams and stakeholders to implement solutions, troubleshoot issues, and improve processes.
Automate deployment pipelines and refine operational environments for scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
Monitor systems and proactively resolve operational issues to ensure high availability.
Develop tooling, playbooks, and documentation to standardize processes and drive team productivity.

You will be a good fit for the DevOps Engineer role if you have:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or related field
5-6+ years of experience in DevOps, automation, and cloud infrastructure
Expert-level knowledge of Git, GitHub, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, GitHub Copilot, and Python development
Experience building automations for cloud, containerized, and local environments
Passion for quality code, documentation, and test-driven development
Strong project management skills with the ability to act as the point of contact for migrating teams
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with shifting priorities

Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with Azure Entra AD and Single Sign-On integration
Experience with web applications, notably Python and Flask
