Data Center Program Manager

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Program Manager to lead complex data center infrastructure initiatives for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale data center programs, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering infrastructure modernization, migration, deployment, and operational excellence initiatives. This role requires exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and program execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale data center infrastructure programs and strategic initiatives.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects involving data center consolidation, migration, modernization, expansion, and cloud integration.
• Develop and maintain program roadmaps, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate with engineering, infrastructure, networking, security, cloud, facilities, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Drive governance meetings, executive status reporting, issue resolution, and program communications.
• Ensure successful implementation of servers, storage, networking, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Oversee vendor relationships, procurement activities, contract management, and delivery milestones.
• Monitor program KPIs, financials, resource utilization, and project health.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans while ensuring timely delivery.
• Support change management, release planning, and operational readiness.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor''''''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT Infrastructure or Data Center experience.
• 7+ years of Program or Project Management experience leading enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Data Center Infrastructure
  • Servers (Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS)
  • Storage (NetApp, EMC, Pure Storage)
  • Networking (Cisco, Arista, Juniper)
  • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
• Experience managing infrastructure migrations, data center relocations, refresh programs, or cloud transformation projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, vendors, and project financials.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.

• PMP or PgMP Certification
• Agile/Scrum Certification
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Experience working with enterprise clients and global delivery teams.
• Knowledge of automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps practices is a plus.
