Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced JD Edwards (JDE) EDI Consultant to support a long-term engagement with an East Coast-based client. The consultant will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, troubleshooting, and optimising EDI transactions and integrations within the JD Edwards environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in JDE EDI processes, trading partner integrations, supply chain transactions, and production support, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain JD Edwards EDI integrations and transaction processing.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve EDI transaction failures and production issues.
Configure, monitor, and support EDI documents including 850, 855, 856, 810, 820, 846, 940, 945, and other supply chain transactions.
Collaborate with business users, customers, suppliers, and trading partners to resolve integration issues.
Perform EDI mapping, testing, validation, and implementation activities.
Support onboarding of new trading partners and EDI enhancements.
Work closely with JDE functional teams across Order Management, Procurement, Inventory, Shipping, and Finance.
Monitor EDI transaction flows and ensure successful processing across environments.
Document EDI configurations, processes, mappings, and support procedures.
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of JD Edwards EDI experience.
Strong knowledge of JDE EnterpriseOne EDI modules and processes.
Experience supporting EDI transactions such as 850, 855, 856, 810, 820, 846, 940, and 945.
Experience working with EDI standards including ANSI X12.
Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory, and Supply Chain processes.
Experience troubleshooting EDI production issues and performing root cause analysis.
Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and external trading partners.
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with EDI platforms such as TrustedLink, Gentran, IBM Sterling, Seeburger, SPS Commerce, or similar solutions.
Experience with JDE EnterpriseOne upgrades and integration projects.
Manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain industry experience.
Previous experience supporting enterprise-scale EDI environments.
Additional Details
Fully remote role supporting an East Coast-based client.
Long-term contract engagement (12 months).
Strong preference for candidates with hands-on JDE EDI production support and enhancement experience.
