We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead software migration projects for clients on the IBM Z platform. This role is responsible for planning, execution oversight, stakeholder communication, risk management, and delivery governance across one or more migration workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide project management for IBM Z software migration projects and coordinate multiple technical workstreams as required.
· Define project scope, develop plans and timelines, manage resources, and track execution against milestones and deliverables.
· Report status, scope changes, risks, challenges, and requirements to leadership and stakeholders.
· Apply planning, tracking, change control, and risk management practices to support successful delivery.
· Support vendor coordination and alignment of workstreams to business objectives.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
· Strong technical project management experience, ideally in software migration or IBM Z environments.
· Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional technical teams with responsibility for scope, cost, schedule, risk, and contractual deliverables.
· Experience leading or supporting migration programs that replace competitive / ISV tools with IBM solutions across the IBM Z estate.
· Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
· Knowledge of IBM mainframe technologies and IBM Z software environments.
· Ability to assess migration impact on existing processes and support structured change management practices.
Preferred / Additional Skills
· PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
· Experience with mainframe application development technologies such as COBOL or PL/I.
