BDR is seeking a Java Developer to join our growing team! This is a hybrid position that will be performed on-site in Washington, DC. This position requires ship with an active Top-Secret clearance.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions that support mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications
- Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, and engineering teams to define and implement new features
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Ensure applications meet security, performance, and reliability requirements
- Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- A BS in IT or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java application development
- Strong proficiency in Java (e.g., Java 8+), including object-oriented design and development
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or willingness to obtain certification within a defined timeframe.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
