Role Overview:We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java / J2EE Developer to join a fast-paced, highly collaborative technology team building and enhancing critical enterprise applications. This role offers a strong mix of backend and frontend development (approximately 60/40), with a focus on delivering new features, improving existing systems, and supporting complex reconciliation and analytics tools. Ideal candidates thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy solving challenging technical problems, and are comfortable partnering closely with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and design solutions supporting analytics, reporting, trade capture, and reconciliation tools
- Develop, enhance, and support applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular
- Perform hands-on application development, prototyping, and technical consulting
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions under tight deadlines
- Identify performance bottlenecks, assess configuration changes, and implement optimizations
- Support issue resolution and complete ad-hoc requests to ensure business continuity
Qualifications:- 7-10 years of overall professional experience, with 5-7+ years in Java/J2EE application development
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot (RESTful services), and Angular (any version)
- Experience with relational databases such as Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, and/or DB2
- Familiarity with modern DevOps and CI/CD tools including Git, Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins
- Experience writing and executing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to adapt quickly, work through ambiguity, and manage changing priorities
Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $56.00 and $82.26per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
