We are hiring a Developer-Full Stack Professional!

Role: Java Full Stack Engineer

Supporting: Large Financial Services Client

Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)

Assignment Type: Contract to Hire

Duration: 3 Months

Role Overview:

Are you a confident, self-motivated engineer who enjoys building modern, scalable applications and seeing your work make a real impact? This role offers hands-on involvement across the full development lifecycle, from design to deployment to production support, while working in a fast-moving Agile environment. You'll collaborate closely with other engineers, contribute to technical decisions, and continuously grow your skills using current Java and Angular technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and support enterprise-level applications

Perform both development and testing (automation and manual) based on sprint needs

Deliver solutions using Agile software development methodologies

Design and implement complex integrations using industry-standard technologies

Actively participate in daily development team activities and Agile ceremonies

Build, enhance, and maintain automated test suites

Support planning activities such as impact assessments, effort estimates, and task assignments

Participate in detailed design reviews to ensure alignment with established architecture

Conduct regular code reviews and promote best engineering practices

Lead and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions for team members

Production Support

Participate in an on-call support rotation

Troubleshoot production issues and drive them through resolution efficiently and effectively

Qualifications:

2-4 years of professional experience (4+ years strongly preferred)

Strong proficiency in Java, microservices, and Angular

Hands-on experience with Java 17, Spring Boot, and Angular UI framework

Strong coding skills with an emphasis on clean, maintainable, and testable code

Technical Experience

Design, implementation, and production support of Java/J2EE applications

Experience with Angular, JavaScript, AWS, relational databases, SQL, and GitHub (including Copilot)

Experience with Spring Boot, CI/CD frameworks, Apigee, Autosys, and shell scripting

Test automation experience using Selenium and/or Cypress

Solid understanding of object-oriented analysis and design principles

Experience designing and building enterprise and/or distributed systems

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and navigate ambiguity

Experience with systems and software architecture concepts

Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $50.00 and $66.13 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
