Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Integration Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in eClinicalWorks integration, FHIR/HL7, and RESTful APIs and a proven ability to deliver secure, reliable, and compliant interoperability across EHR systems to power analytics and care coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain integrations using FHIR (R4 preferred), HL7 v2.x (ADT, ORU, SIU), and RESTful APIs (JSON/XML).


• Configure and manage OAuth2 and SMART on FHIR authentication.


• Develop and maintain mappings for patient, encounter, medication, diagnosis, lab, and claims data.


• Troubleshoot API failures, data discrepancies, and interface issues.


• Support bidirectional integrations, including write-back where applicable.


• Monitor integration performance and uphold data freshness SLAs.


• Collaborate with EHR vendor technical teams and internal data and analytics teams.


• Maintain technical documentation and integration runbooks.


• Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI across all integration workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Creating API between EPIC and eClinicalwork space is must have.


• Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) and EHR interoperability.


• Proficiency in FHIR R4, HL7 v2.x, and RESTful API integration using JSON/XML.


• Experience configuring OAuth2 and SMART on FHIR.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for API and interface issues.


• Ability to design mappings for clinical and claims domains.


• Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI handling, and security best practices.


• Experience level: 5+ years in healthcare integration or related roles.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Innovaccer platforms or similar healthcare data platforms.


• Background in population health, analytics, or care coordination initiatives.
