IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

Our client is looking for a Project Manager/Scrum Master. The client team is responsible for BI/Analytics, a data lake platform, master data management (MDM), data integration, data conversion, data quality, data architecture, data modeling, data literacy, and data governance. Data is one of their most valuable assets and they strive to become a more data-literate and data-driven organization.

• This position will work on a small, collaborative team that uses agile practices to deliver value to their business partners.
• Must have strong technical knowledge in data management.
• Experienced PM and not one they have to train to be a PM or Scrum Master.
• The manager also noted that while leadership experience is valuable, this role requires hands-on project execution skills that may differ from those typically found in director or manager-level positions.

NOTE: Candidate must be a CURRENT WI resident at the time of submission. Relocation is NOT allowed. This position can work 100% remote from anywhere within the state of WI or the office

Skills Required:

• 5+ years - Experience in scrum-master role leading scrums for business intelligence and data warehousing. (Must have experience leading projects for business intelligence and data warehousing)
• 5+ years - Experience in a project manager role leading Agile technical projects.
• 5+ years - Experience in a large, complex enterprise-level projects consisting of multiple agile teams using Scrum/agile methodologies
• Knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
• Experience defining project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organizing and leading project status and working meetings; preparing and distributing progress reports; managing risks and issues; correcting deviations from plans; and performing delivery planning for assigned projects.
• Experience in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.
• Experience assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts daily, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
• Technical experience with data management and analytics to provide highly credible leadership to technical teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
• Experience providing leadership for release management.
• Experience managing team progress/status through JIRA.
• Bachelor s Degree

Skills Desired A plus to have:

• Experience implementing SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
• Experience using Jira
• PMP certification
