Job SummaryThe
HRIS Analyst will join an HR Technology team and be responsible for
Workday operational and functional support, as well as the implementation of system enhancements. This role partners closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), Product teams, and IT Engineering to support production issues, data maintenance, user inquiries, system improvements, testing, and data quality initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on Workday experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex HR system operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDay-to-Day Operational & Functional Support- Serve as a primary HRIS analyst for Workday, providing daily production support, issue resolution, and system maintenance
- Support Workday modules including:
- Core HCM
- Talent & Performance
- Recruiting
- Benefits
- Compensation
- Provide functional guidance to HR partners on Workday processes, transactions, and operational best practices
- Perform data cleansing initiatives, including:
- Root cause analysis
- Coordinating fixes with Engineering and HR COEs
- Implementing preventative controls
- Conduct regular data audits to ensure:
- Accuracy and completeness of employee and organizational data
- Compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Deliver advanced reporting and analytics using Workday reporting and third-party tools to support business decision-making
Enhancement & Initiative Implementation- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to design, configure, test, and deploy:
- Workday business processes
- Security roles
- Reports and dashboards
- Integrations
- Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including:
- Test scenario creation
- Test execution
- Defect logging and validation
- Develop HRIS documentation, including:
- User job aids
- Standard operating procedures
- System and process documentation
- Support inbound and outbound data exchanges with third-party vendors by:
- Validating data files
- Reconciling data
- Escalating issues to Engineering teams as needed
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant HRIS experience
- 3+ years of hands-on configuration experience in Workday HCM modules, including:
- Core HCM
- Talent & Performance
- Recruiting
- Benefits
- Reporting
- Advanced Compensation
- 3+ years of experience supporting Workday operational support and enhancement implementations
- Hands-on experience with:
- Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs)
- Mass data loads
- Data corrections
- Proven experience supporting:
- UAT planning and execution
- Defect tracking and resolution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Experience supporting production environments, ticket management, and operational issue resolution
- Strong understanding of HR data structures, data quality management, and downstream system impacts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate functional requirements for technical teams
- Strong technical writing skills for documentation, requirements, and training materials

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Rockville, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $96.00 - $106.10/hr.
