AV Project Manager / Senior AV Technician

Role: AV Project Manager (with strong AV experience) / Senior AV Technician
Location: Austin, TX 78724
Type: 12-month contract (100% onsite)
Pay Range: $25-$30/hr+ (flexible for strong experience)
Pre-Employment Requirement: Must be willing to submit to background screening.

Overview

This role is designed for someone who can operate as a project manager within the AV space - not just a hands-on AV technician. You will own new room builds from planning to "go live," manage vendors, coordinate budgets, and act as the single point of contact for all AV operations at the site.
If you're an AV specialist who has taken full ownership of projects or a project manager with strong AV technical knowledge, this role will be a great fit.

What You'll Do

Project & Deployment Ownership

• Lead AV room builds from concept, design, and vendor coordination through deployment and "go live."
• Oversee project timelines, quality, and deliverables as the primary project manager onsite.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, pricing, and accountability.
• Integrate AV systems with the corporate network (IP addressing, VLANs, device registration, etc.).

Operational Leadership

• Serve as the regional escalation point for break/fix issues.
• Troubleshoot AV environments when technicians are unavailable.
• Maintain CMDB records (ServiceNow), warranty tracking, and capital asset management.
• Lead weekly operational/status calls with leadership and project stakeholders.

Executive Support

• Ensure flawless AV performance for executive and high-visibility meetings.
• Provide clear, concise communication in time-sensitive situations.

Strategic Oversight

• Act as the single point of contact for the entire site's AV footprint.
• Manage budgets for upgrades, maintenance, and enhancements.
• Evaluate and recommend technology improvements.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of AV experience with demonstrated project ownership.
• Experience functioning as a project manager on AV deployments or room builds.
• Familiarity with MTR (Microsoft Teams Rooms), Logitech, Crestron, and enterprise AV hardware (e.g., Poly E70, One Beyond).
• Experience with enterprise AV setups: overhead mics, mic pods, touch panels, behind-display PCs.
• Strong vendor management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and operational queues.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Fully onsite availability.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
