SAP HANA / ABAP CDS Developer (Remote – CST)
Location: Remote

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA / ABAP CDS Developer with strong expertise in converting complex legacy ABAP reporting logic into optimized ABAP CDS Views for SAP HANA and downstream analytics in Snowflake. The role focuses on performance optimization, data modeling, and replacing procedural ABAP with CDS-based push-down architecture.

< data-start="621" data-end="653">Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and reverse-engineer legacy ABAP reports and business logic
  • Convert ABAP logic into scalable ABAP CDS Views / CDS View Entities
  • Apply SAP HANA code push-down and performance optimization techniques
  • Design layered CDS architecture (Basic, Composite, Consumption views)
  • Work with associations, annotations, calculations, and aggregations
  • Support data reconciliation between SAP and Snowflake
  • Collaborate with SAP, Data Engineering, and Snowflake teams
  • Ensure accuracy of transformed data models vs legacy reports
  • Document mappings and technical transformations

  • Strong ABAP development experience
  • Hands-on expertise in ABAP CDS Views and CDS View Entities
  • SAP HANA Studio / Eclipse ADT
  • SQL, SQLScript, and data modeling
  • AMDP and performance tuning
  • SAP push-down architecture and VDM concepts
  • Experience with SAP FAM data model (preferred)
  • Snowflake integration knowledge (JDBC/ETL concepts)
