Job Description:

Seeking a highly experienced Sr. PeopleSoft Payroll Developer (FICA) to support a critical FICA Redesign Roadmap initiative within the UCPath PeopleSoft HCM environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PeopleSoft Payroll for North America, FICA tax processing, payroll compliance, and enterprise-level PeopleSoft development.

Required Skills:

7+ years of PeopleSoft HCM development experience

Strong experience with PeopleSoft Payroll for North America

Extensive experience with FICA tax processing, Social Security, Medicare calculations, and payroll compliance

Deep understanding of PeopleSoft HCM architecture and payroll data model

Hands-on experience with:

o Application Engine

o PeopleCode

o SQL & PL/SQL

o Oracle Database

o BI Publisher

Experience supporting large-scale enterprise PeopleSoft environments

Strong production support, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, customize, and support PeopleSoft Payroll solutions with a focus on FICA functionality

Support UCPath PeopleSoft HCM modules including Payroll, Time & Labor, and Absence Management

Analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions

Develop Application Engine programs, PeopleCode, SQL/PLSQL scripts, BI Publisher reports, and integrations

Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support

Collaborate with business analysts, functional teams, and technical stakeholders

Create technical documentation and support system upgrades and deployments

Ensure compliance with development standards and PeopleSoft best practices

Preferred Skills:

Experience with PeopleSoft Time & Labor and Absence Management

Experience with PeopleSoft Fluid, Tiles, Event Mapping, and Page Field Configurator

Experience with STAT and/or PHIRE migration tools

Higher Education industry experience

Experience supporting large employee populations and complex payroll environments

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently

Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills

Ability to work in fast-paced environments with changing priorities
