Title: Lead Agilist I

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (Onsite)

Duration: 4+ Months

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Agilist to support one or more Agile Squads. This role is responsible for ensuring the squad understands and applies Agile and Scrum values and principles. The Lead Agilist will use observation to determine squad needs, facilitate neutral discussions, and guide the team in delivering business value through a servant leadership approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and coach the Agile Squad on the application of the Scrum Framework and principles of agility.
  • Facilitate Scrum events and activities, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Coach the Product Owner and Development Team in effective Product Backlog management.
  • Assist the squad with self-organization, continuous improvement, risk identification, and conflict resolution.
  • Remove impediments for the squad and escalate when necessary.
  • Foster a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised and solved collaboratively.
  • Promote the growth of every team member and encourage the squad to solve their own problems.
  • Model collaborative, courageous, and open behavior.
  • Facilitate communication and cooperation within and outside the Agile Squad.
Required Qualifications

Experience:
  • 5+ years of full-time business experience.
  • 3+ years of Scrum experience.
  • Experience presenting, teaching, mentoring, and facilitating at multiple levels of an organization.

Skills:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of the Scrum Framework.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal and organizational conflicts.
  • Working knowledge of practices that support agility, such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Test-Driven Development.
  • Understanding of software lifecycle development disciplines.


Preferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of other Agile frameworks such as Kanban, Scrumban, or XP.
