Job Description: Change Management Manager - Senior (Microsoft 365 Copilot Adoption)
Overview:

  • The Senior Change Management Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end change management for enterprise technology and business transformation initiatives, ensuring changes are adopted, sustained, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • This role focuses on the people side of change readiness, communications, training, stakeholder engagement, and reinforcement while partnering closely with program and project teams to integrate change activities into delivery plans.
  • A critical focus for this role is Microsoft 365 Copilot: driving adoption through structured rollout planning, scenario-based enablement, and clear guidance that increases digital dexterity and responsible use of AI across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply a structured change management methodology and framework to define the change vision, success measures, and integrated change plans that enable adoption and sustained outcomes.
  • Support stakeholder identification and analysis; build engagement strategies that drive alignment across senior leaders, people managers, impacted teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Conduct change impact, organizational readiness, and risk assessments; proactively identify barriers and resistance points and implement mitigation and reinforcement actions.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies and content (announcements, FAQs, leadership talking points, job aids, intranet/knowledge articles) that are employee-focused and actionable.
  • Design, develop, manage, and deliver training and enablement programs using modern learning principles (role-based learning paths, microlearning, workshops, office hours, and self-service resources).
  • Establish and manage adoption measurement (KPIs/OKRs), evaluation processes, and dashboards; report insights and recommend interventions to improve adoption, utilization, and proficiency.
  • Partner with program/project managers to integrate change management activities into project plans, Agile ceremonies, and release schedules; manage interdependencies and competing priorities.
  • Support and nurture networks (champions, super users, influencers, and community forums) to accelerate awareness, gather feedback, and scale best practices.
  • Vendor and partner management as needed (communications, training, or change consulting partners) to deliver change solutions on time and on budget.
  • Microsoft 365 Copilot change management: own and drive the Copilot adoption approach, including rollout planning, persona-based scenarios/use cases, responsible-use guidance, and ongoing reinforcement to move from initial awareness to sustained value realization.
  • Copilot training & communications expertise: develop, manage and deliver Copilot-specific training, prompt/use-case guidance, community content, and communications that build confidence, trust, and day-to-day habits for knowledge workers and leaders.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience leading organizational change management and enablement for medium-to-large scale initiatives (technology, process, and/or operating model change).
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing enterprise communications and training programs, including content development and live delivery.
  • Excellent organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to work across geography time zones, with complex calendar and meeting design management experience
  • Proven experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot (3+ years preferred) including hands-on capability, enablement design, and experience supporting or leading a Copilot rollout/adoption program.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across a matrixed organization; able to prepare leaders and sponsors to fulfill their role in change success.
  • Experience conducting change impact analysis, readiness assessments, and risk assessments; ability to translate findings into practical change actions.
  • Ability to define, track, and report adoption and effectiveness metrics; experience elevating measurement from basic usage to value-based outcomes.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to create clear, employee-focused documentation and announcements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to independently manage multiple priorities and shifting timelines.
  • Bachelor s degree OR equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prosci (or comparable) change management certification; CCMP
  • Master s degree (e.g., Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration)
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery teams and/or familiarity with Jira.
  • Experience building communities of practice (champions/super users) and running office hours or community events to drive adoption.
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to communicate adoption and value metrics.
