Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain test strategies and test cases for WAF configurations delivered via Terraform and GitLab pipelines.
• Validate that WAF policies deploy successfully and behave as expected across staging and production environments (e.g., rules applied, traffic allowed/blocked, logging enabled).
• Design and implement automated checks where possible (e.g., policy linting, negative/positive test traffic, regression tests) integrated into GitLab CI/CD.
• Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and security teams to define acceptance criteria for WAF automation changes.
• Investigate defects, configuration drift, and unexpected WAF behavior; document findings and work with engineers to resolve issues.
• Contribute to documentation of quality standards, test procedures, and go/no-go criteria for WAF-related releases.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance/testing, infrastructure automation, network engineering, or an adjacent discipline.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD workflows (GitLab or similar).
• Understanding of WAF concepts, HTTP/S traffic, and basic networking (e.g., hostnames, TLS, load balancers, firewall rules).
• Experience designing and executing test cases for system or infrastructure changes; exposure to automation of tests is a plus.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on reproducible, well-documented defects.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills; able to work across security, network, and application teams.
